License
Activate OctoPress Pro with your licence key, check the status, refresh it, or disconnect this site.
Open Settings → License (it is also a step in the Pro setup).
Connection status#
The Connection status card says "This site's link to your OctoPress Pro license." and shows a badge: Active, Grace period, Expired or Not activated, plus:

| Plan | Your plan, for example Pro. |
| Sites | How many sites your plan covers, for example 1 of 1 site(s). |
| Domain | This site's domain. |
| License key | A masked version of the key. |
| Last verified | When OctoPress last checked the licence. |
Activate#
- Under Activate OctoPress Pro paste your License key.
- Click Activate license.
The key is used only for activation and is not stored afterwards. To change keys later, use Change license key, enter the New license key and click Reactivate.
Refresh or disconnect#
- Refresh status checks the licence again.
- Disconnect clears the licence from this site. Pro features stop working here until you activate again.
Grace period and expiry#
- Grace period: a verification failed, but Pro keeps working until the date shown: "License verification failed. Pro remains available until …".
- Expired: "License verification expired. Reactivate OctoPress Pro to restore Pro features."
Troubleshooting#
- Check that the site can reach the internet and that the key is for this plan.
- Use Refresh status after fixing connectivity.
- If it keeps failing, contact support with the error text shown on the card.
