Extensions

Extensions bundle tools, skills and agents. Switch them on or off, and see why one is unavailable.

An extension is a bundle of tools, skills and agents. OctoPress's own features are extensions, and other plugins can add more.

Open Settings → Extensions. The table shows:

  • Extension: name, description and id.
  • Source: core, Pro, or plugin for extensions from other plugins.
  • Resources: how many tools, skills and agents it adds, for example 12 tools / 1 skills / 1 agents.
  • Status: a switch and one of these labels:
Label Meaning
Enabled / Disabled You can switch it.
Always on Required by OctoPress. It cannot be switched off.
Unavailable A requirement is missing. The reason is shown under the label.

Click Save after changing switches.

Good to know#

  • Switching an extension off removes its tools, skills and agents from what chat offers.
  • Turning something off here is the broadest switch. Use Tool access for single tools and Agents for per-agent control.
  • Developers can add extensions with the octopress_extensions filter. See the developer guide docs/extensions.md in the plugin repository.
